Teeth decay?

How log does it take for teeth to rot out if you hardly brush them?

Would your teeth not decay if you eat sugar free, teeth cleaning gum?

Thanks l0l!

Teeth decay?
You definitely cant say the length of period it will take for your teeth to get decayed if you hardly brush them, but it depends on the individual's oral hygiene habits. For example if you dont brush and still you take lot of fibrous food or use mouth rinse, your teeth will be partially cleaned and it will take longer period for your teeth to get decayed. Above all no one could speak a word closer to others with out brushing for two days or more. It will stink .

Sugar free teeth cleaning gum doesnt guarantee your teeth from getting decayed. Any sticky food that is properly not removed from teeth surface is a good media for the bacteria to grow and multiply producing acid that starts destroying the enamel.
Reply:If you hardly brush your teeth it takes about 6-8 months to start decaying and in less than 1 1/2 year you will be toothless. It is no gaurantee whether your teeth will remain safe or not while chewing sugar free, teeth cleaning gum but you can be sure that it will adversely affect your tonsils.
Reply:Any dentist would not like my response, but I think it has a lot more to do with genetics (your family's dental health history) than anything else. I grew up on soda pop and didn't brush my teeth much and I have no cavities or gum problems. ( I'm over fifty years old.) I'm one of the lucky ones.
Reply:varies from person to person. seen a roomate i lived with for 3 years not even own a toothbrush never had a problem. my wife brushes 3 times a day and her teeth are real going to s.h.i.t
