What can i get my dog that he can chew on to keep his teeth clean?

Something he can eat. He has a toy that is supposed to clean his teeth but he will not chew on it. He does not like it when i try and brush his teeth.

What can i get my dog that he can chew on to keep his teeth clean?
Chewing raw bones or bully sticks might help with the tarter.

One thing I do know is NEVER, EVER feed your dog Greenies. I'm surprised people on here never heard of the real dangers of feeding your dog Greenies.

Just google dangers of greenies and you will see what I mean. THey are horrible for your dog.
Reply:Then dentals are in order.
Reply:You can take your dog to the vet, they will clean his teath for you. There is something called Greenies, but I think that they are for bad breath.
Reply:Get him some Greenies.
Reply:Good quality dry dog food, baby carrots, frozen green beans, raw squash.. Applecider vinegar in the drinking water...
Reply:In between checkups with your vet (if they are cleaning his teeth at the check up) go to Petco or Petsmart and look for Denta bone, or another type of dental cleaning bone. Also, keep a rawhide bone or 2 around the house. They will chew on them through out the day but once a week give him a denta bone type chew. These are edible and really do help reduce the tarter build up. If you are having problems cleaning his teeth, I usually stand over mine while he sits and lift his head up and back just enought to get to his teeth and brush. He fights a little but he likes the liver toothpaste better than the chicken. Have fun today!
