What you are more than likely experiencing is called %26quot;dry socket%26quot;. This happens to a tooth socket when you are creating a vacuum inside of your mouth. Mostly from drinking with a straw or smoking a cigarette! The deep cleaning and scaling should only have been painful for about a day or two if that at most. Avoid aspirin and the like for another day or two and stick with Tylenol for the pain.
