You can start a healthy routine by rubbing your babies gums at bathtime with a soft washcloth. Gum care is just as important.
When should you start cleaning your babies teeth?
As soon as they have some, with a baby toothbrush and baby paste.
Reply:As soon as they start getting them. You can kit teeth cleaning kits for babies at Walmart

Reply:as soon as they come in your baby will have less problems with the dentists later in life trust me i have taken care of 5 kids including mine but she doesnt have teeth yet
Reply:As soon as they emerge, and your child should also go to the dentist with you as soon as you are able to sit him in the chair, so that he gets used to the dentist.

Reply:As soon as the kid has teeth.
It%26#039;s a really good habit to get into, and his teeth will start getting dirty as soon as he has them anyway. So start getting them clean at the same time.
Reply:You should clean your baby%26#039;s teeth as soon as they get them. You should even wipe there gums before they even get teeth. You can go to the store and buy infant toothpaste that don%26#039;t have flouride in it. Or you can wet a washcloth and wipe them off
Reply:My mum as always started just before they are coming through with a silicone toothbrush and gently rubbing the gums. She uses the silicone toothbrush until 1/4-1/2 are through.

Reply:as soon as you see the teeth coming out with the baby tooth brush and paste
Reply:we started using a finger toothbrush before she had teeth just to get her used to having her teeth brushed so that she wouldn%26#039;t fight it. We now brush her teeth 2-3 per day...like any other person does. She%26#039;s 19 months now. She thinks that it%26#039;s fun. Make sure you use the toothpaste that%26#039;s ok to swallow! Oral B makes a good one.
Reply:Before an infants, teeth cut through the gums his mouth should be wipe or rinsed. As soon as teeth are through the gums allow the child to suck, or chew on a wet wash cloth. Once, the bite reflex ( snapping mouth shut when something touches the jaw) has disappeared, begin brushing teeth. They sale small finger brushes at most pharmacies. Do not use tooth paste until after a child is a year old, and then only a very small amount.
Reply:As soon as they start getting them...you can get baby toothbrushes with baby toothpaste (won%26#039;t hurt them when they swallow it)
Reply:as soon as they start getting them with a baby toothbrush and baby toothpaste so that its safe to swallow
Reply:As soon as possible!!! Your baby needs to get into a routine of brushing his/her teeth!! You, of course; brush them for him/her until they are old enough to do it for themselves. It%26#039;s important to JUMP right on it, though; as healthy baby teeth grow into healthy permanant teeth!!
Reply:As soon as you like,my daughter cut her 1st two teeth at 7 months but we didn%26#039;t start to brush til a couple of months after when several more appeared, she had her first dental check-up at around 18months and everything was fine. The earlier you start the easier it will be to incorporate it into everyday routine.
Reply:Gerber makes a wonderful gum/cleaning kit. My doc has always stressed the importance of just brusing their gums, no need to wait on their teeth!
Reply:Uh...as soon as they appear.
Reply:Ive been cleaning my sons gums since he was a newborn. He has 2 teeth and we use %26quot;Gerber tooth and gum cleaner%26quot; on them twice a day.
Reply:If your baby has teeth you should clean them....teach them from an early age. there are age appropriate brushes and paste available :)
Reply:You should clean your baby%26#039;s teeth as soon as they get them with a baby toothbrush and tooth paste for babies.
Reply:as soon as they have teeth - just use a face washer though - after every feed, both breastfeed/bottle feed %26amp; solids.
Goodluck
Reply:As soon as they grow through. My son is nearly 11 months old, and he walks into the bathroom while I am brushing my teeth and picks out his toothbrush and tries to brush his own. It is so sweet to watch. I bought a long handled brush from boots and their own smile baby toothpaste. It%26#039;s strawberry flavour so it goes down very well!!
Reply:As soon as they have some - you can get baby tooth paste and brushes in chemists and large super markets
Reply:when the 1st tooth appears xx with a baby toothbush...awwwww I remember brushing my daughters 1st tooth lol x
Reply:as soon as they get the front two give the child a helping hand make a routine out of it a gently persuade them to use the brush,,,,,
Reply:Do it before the teeth come through, gently brushing the gums, to get the baby used to the feel of it.
Reply:I%26#039;m a dental nurse and we advise parents to brush their kids teeth as soon as they come through. Use a small headed baby brush and only use baby toothpaste if you have fluoride in your water as there is very little or none in it. If you don%26#039;t have fluoride in your water we advise that you use an adult toothpaste, a mild mint such as Colgate blue stripey gel or Crest.
Reply:when the first one appears. that was the advise I recieved from my doc
