Why whole mouth teeth deep cleaning to be done in 4 times? Any difference with surgery?

Well, most likely it%26#039;s like how they do it at my office. They do the mouth in quads. One quarter at a time. They numb you up each time and really work on that one area. Then you go back a week later. If they did, say, the whole top, you would be pretty numb and unable to eat for a while and maybe a little too sore for a day or so. Or even if they did the whole left side, the same consequences. However, they have done one whole side in my office if the patient requested it. BUT, it might be a matter of insurance. Maybe they can%26#039;t because insurance says they have to break it into quads. Got that? Next time, FLOSS, and you won%26#039;t have to go through that tourture!

Oh, and it%26#039;s not surgery. There is no cutting. Usually it%26#039;s just an ultrasonic scaler and the regular scalers. They just use a lot of water and vibrate and go below the gums, but they don%26#039;t cut. You bleed because your gums are infected.
