I know that cleaning is mainly to remove the plaque etc from the gums, but will there be any whitening of the teeth at all?

A professional cleaning will typical do a general %26quot;polish%26quot; as well - so that%26#039;ll remove some of the stains %26amp; discoloration. Won%26#039;t be as good as a %26quot;whitening%26quot; or %26quot;bleaching%26quot; - but it%26#039;ll whiten %26#039;em a bit (depending on how stained/discolored they are to begin with)

Reply:No, whitening is different, you can do it at home your self. Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and are expensive and inconvenient.
